ok i lied, this is my make-up routine as of late. flawless, glowy skin with a tinge of bronzer for definition and color, black cat-eye, and a wash of cherry stain on the lips.
 
one of my new favorite finds is the hard candy welcome matte powder. it locks the foundation in place and gives the perfect airbrushed finish to the skin. it is not TOO matte that you look flat like a cartoon character. best of all, it does not cake up but at the same time it controls oil like nobody's business. both the foundation and powder are sweat and heat proof, but are still light-feeling on the skin, in my opinion.
 
the rimmel bronzer is probably my favorite bronzer ever. my problem with bronzers is they turn too muddy and make me look like i have dirt on my cheeks. but not this stuff. it's light and natural, and isn't completely matte so it adds some radiance to my face. i don't mind that it's not matte because i don't use this to contour, rather just use a big sonia kashuk powder brush and dust up my cheeks and nose.
 
the dior amber diamond highlighter makes me feel luxurious. i swirl a brush in it (a cheap angled contour brush from a grocery store), mainly on the bronzed colors since the white may be too much for day time, and brush up my the tops of my cheek bones. it's so subtle but adds a glow to my face.
 
i switched out my anastasia brow wiz pencil for this cheap maybelline brow powder. i realized the pencil was a tinge too dark and i find pencils for brows are not the most natural-looking.
 
the eye liner is a bit of a disappointment. the good thing is it does last super long and does NOT get in my contact lenses because i have super watery/sensitive eyes. but the applicator is too stiff and is more difficult creating a smooth line. i'll probably switch to something else after this.
 
the make up for ever aqua eyes pencil is the best pencil i have found for tight-lining my top lash line. it is not the most opaque or the creamiest, but since it is waterproof it does not smudge onto my sensitive eyes, which is my main concern.
 
i usually am not too picky with mascaras because i think i have pretty decent lashes as is. i just need to make them darker and more voluminous. the cover girl lash perfection is great and does the job.
